Our Materials
Our Commitment to Quality and Sustainability
At Astartelux, we pride ourselves on creating exquisite jewelry that embodies elegance, durability, and ethical craftsmanship. Our dedication to quality and sustainability is reflected in every piece we design.
Gold
Solid gold is a precious metal that will not oxidize or discolor, giving our pieces their beautiful, subtle hue. Our white gold pieces are finished with rhodium plating, providing extra shine and durability. All our 18k gold pieces are stamped with the industry standard “18K” or “750”, signifying their purity and quality.
Sterling Silver
Our 925 Sterling Silver is an alloy made of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% copper, chosen for its durability and beauty. Using sterling silver is an ecological choice as this precious metal can be recycled, repaired, and reused endlessly. At Astartelux, we collect all leftover silver from our manufacturing process and use it to create new jewelry pieces. We proudly use 100% recycled silver in all our jewelry, sourced from responsible operators. To enhance its durability and shine, we plate our silver jewelry in rhodium, silver, or gold. Each of our sterling silver pieces is stamped with “925”.
Recycled Gold Vermeil
Not to be confused with regular gold plating, gold vermeil involves a much thicker layer of gold, providing greater durability. We use 18k gold that is 2 microns thick, layered over sterling silver. This combination ensures lasting beauty and strength. All our 18k gold vermeil pieces are stamped with “925”, indicating their sterling silver base.
Diamonds
Our high-quality diamonds are ethically sourced from suppliers who follow conflict-free and socially responsible practices. We ensure that 100% of our diamonds are responsibly sourced by adhering to the Kimberley Process and the World Diamond Council System of Warranties. This commitment guarantees that our diamonds are conflict-free, supporting ethical practices in the global supply chain.
The Kimberley Process
The Kimberley Process (KP) is a multilateral trade regime established in 2003 with the goal of preventing the flow of conflict diamonds. The core of this regime is the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS), under which states implement safeguards on shipments of rough diamonds and certify them as “conflict-free.” At Astartelux, we fully support and adhere to the Kimberley Process, ensuring that our diamonds contribute to ethical and sustainable practices worldwide.
